SUWJT
Step Up with Jeremy Taylor (“SUWJT”) is the public face of Step Up Media Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
SUWJT began in 2005 with a video on the crisis in Darfur -- a crisis that the West continues to passively tongue cluck away. A crisis SUWJT continues to exhort. Today SUWJT produces a weekly cable broadcast on topical issues, publishes a Web site, www.stepuptime.com, works with political and humanitarian groups to promote awareness and solutions and coordinate relief, and organizes and moderates panels and discussion forums.
SUWJT is nonpartisan. It appeals and offends without regard for party or ideology.
Jeremy Taylor
Step Up Media Inc. is owned and run by Jeremy Taylor. Mr. Taylor published the highly regarded quarterly, Film Festival Today (“FFT”), before converting the enterprise into a Web-based publication at www.filmfestivaltoday.com. In 2007, Mr. Taylor began producing a popular video interview series with directors of issue-based films, Movies That Matter, for FFT.
Mr. Taylor wrote, produced, and directed the documentary US-China Relations, an indictment of the Chinese government’s persecution of practitioners of Falun Dafa. He is currently working on an upcoming feature documentary, Imprisoned Nation (working title), on the xenophobic and oppressive military junta of Myanmar, formerly Burma.
