When:             Two-hour special Friday, August 8, 2008, opposite Beijing Opening Ceremony Nightly programs August 11-15 (See schedule below.)   

What:              Beijing Tune-out is alternate viewing to the Beijing Olympics organized by Step Up with Jeremy Taylor (“SUWJT”) and hosted by MNN. Programs will include reports by actor and activist Mia Farrow from a refugee camp on the Chad- Darfur border courtesy of Dream for Darfur’s “Darfur Olympics”. Live broadcasts will include international scholars, activists, journalists, and former political prisoners and refugees to discuss China’s global influence and the consequences for emerging nations.
